Living Water: Renewing Hope for Marine Life and Our Common Home
The Season of Creation takes place from September 1st - October 4th, ending on the Feast Day of Saint Francis of Assisi.
During this important time, people around the globe recommit to caring for God’s creation. This year’s official theme is “Living Water,” from Ezekiel 47:9 and 12, which offers a vision of immersive hope and ecological restoration.
This powerful passage reminds us: “Where these waters flow they refresh; everything lives where the river goes” (Ezekiel 47:9). Inspired by this vision of life-giving waters, join us for a special series of written reflections exploring the extraordinary marine animals who depend on them and the people working to protect them - renewing hope for our fellow creatures and inspiring us all to care more deeply for our common home.
